You can optionally book a ticket at child fare if you want a reserved seat for your baby on Thalys, Eurostar and TGV (recommended if you want to benefit from the Forfait Bambin on TGV INOUI). Reserving a seat is compulsory for journeys operated by long distance buses. Children under 4 years old travel for free and don't need a ticket if they don't require a reserved seat.

Discount cards

The discount cards below are accepted on our website. If you want to use a different discount card, please call the Contact Centre. Please note: you will need to show proof of entitlement during on-board inspection.

50% discount Belgium (SNCB)

If you have a reduction card giving 50% discount on the Belgian rail network (e.g. Large Families, Preferential Reimbursement or Military card), you also get 50% discount on the Belgian part of an international journey with InterCity or regional trains at Standard fare.

100% discount Belgium (SNCB)

Holders of a valid travel pass, Unlimited Season Ticket or token for free transport on the Belgian rail network (visual impaired travellers, parliament members, police in uniform etc...) do not have to pay for the Belgian part of an international journey with conventional IC or local trains.

40% discount Netherlands (NS)

Holders of some types of NS season tickets (e.g. OV-Jaarabonnement, depending on the travel time and the season ticket conditions) get 40% discount on the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains to/from the Netherlands.

100% discount Netherlands (NS)

Holders of a valid railpass for the Dutch rail network and holders of some types of NS season tickets (e.g. OV-Jaarabonnement, depending on the travel time and the season ticket conditions) do not pay for the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains to/from the Netherlands.

100% discount Luxembourg (CFL)

Holders of a valid travel pass, Network Railcard or token for free transport on the Luxembourg rail network do not have to pay for the Luxembourg part of an international journey with conventional IC or local trains.

Frequent Pass (Eurostar)

ThePass members pay a membership fee entitling them to reduced fares and increased flexibility when travelling to certain Eurostar destinations.

Premium Pass (Eurostar)

ThePass members pay a membership fee entitling them to reduced fares and increased flexibility when travelling between Paris and Brussels.

Bahncard 25 1st class (DB)

This card gives 25% discount in Germany when travelling with ICE or conventional trains (not valid on Thalys).

Bahncard 25 2nd class (DB)

This card gives 25% discount in Germany when travelling with ICE or conventional trains (not valid on Thalys).

Bahncard 50 1st class (DB)

This card gives 50% discount in Germany when travelling with ICE or conventional trains (not valid on Thalys).

Bahncard 50 2nd class (DB)

This card gives 50% discount in Germany when travelling with ICE or conventional trains (not valid on Thalys).

Carte Avantage Jeune (SNCF)

This discount card for travellers from 12 to 27 years old offers a 30% discount on TGV and Intercités journeys in France and in Europe.

Carte Avantage Senior (SNCF)

This discount card for travellers of 60 years and over offers a 30% discount on TGV and Intercités journeys in France and in Europe.

Carte Liberté (SNCF)

The Carté Liberté is sold at the fixed price of €399 per year. This card is valid in 1st and 2nd class throughout France and offers 45% discount on the Business Première fare or 60% discount on the Seconde fare (as well as 50% discount to a maximum of 3 accompanying children).

Carte Avantage - child companion (SNCF)

Discount for maximum 3 children (4 to 11 years old) who travel together with the holder of a valid Carte Avantage.

Half-Fare Travelcard (SBB)

Discount of 50% with the Half-Fare Travelcard (SBB)

Loyalty cards

Enter the My Thalys World, Carte Grand Voyageur or Eurostar loyalty card number for each passenger. Note: this card is nominative and not transferable.

TGV INOUI fares

Here you can find an overview of the specific fares for the different TGV INOUI trains. Since 10 January 2024, a new range of TGV INOUI fares is in force. Find out more below.

Our tip remains the same: if you want to enjoy the best prices, book as early as possible! (as a general rule, tickets are available from 4 months before the departure date).

Fares for TGV INOUI trains from 10 January 2024 TGV INOUI fares from 10/01/2024

STANDARD FARE

Target group:

Adults (28 - 60 years)
Senior citizens ( > 60 years)
Youth (12 - 27 years)
Accompanied children (4 - 12 years)
Children under 4 years old (if you want a reserved seat)
Wheelchair users¹ (and their accompanying person, if any) who hold a medical certificate or other document proving that the use of the wheelchair is needed.

Comfort: 1st class, 2nd class

¹Wheelchair users pay a 2nd class fare but get a reserved seat in 1st class.

After-sales:

Free exchange and refund up to 7 complete days² before departure
Exchange or refund subject to a €19 fee from 6 complete days² before departure of the train.
From 30 minutes before departure the ticket can be exchanged once, after this exchange it is no longer refundable. The ticket can only be exchanged within the same range.

² By a complete day before departure, we mean 24 hours before the departure time of the train.

FLEX FARE

Target group:

Adults (28 - 60 years)
Seniors ( > 60 years)
Youth (12 - 27 years)
Accompanied children (4 - 12 years)
Children under 4 years old (if you want a reserved seat)

After-sales:

Free exchange and refund up to 30 minutes after departure.
From 30 minutes before departure, the ticket can be exchanged once for another TGV INOUI ticket.
After 1 exchange in the period from 30 minutes before departure to 30 minutes after departure, the ticket is non-refundable.

Good to know:

When travelling at the Flex fare in 1st class, you have access ( upon presentation of your ticket) to the Eurostar Lounge in Brussels-Midi and the Salon Grand Voyageur TGV INOUI in Lille-Europe, Lyon Part-Dieu, Rennes, Nantes, Marseille St-Charles and Strasbourg.

Please note: Different fare types apply on TGV France-Italy trains.

GROUP FARE

Target group:

Groups of minimum 10 to maximum 99 people
All age categories (adults, young people, children aged 4 to 12 and children under 4 wishing to have a reserved seat)

Please note: For reservations for groups consisting of more than 60 people, a request must be submitted to our Group Travel Contact Centre.

Comfort: 1st class, 2nd class

After-sales:

No exchange possible.
Full refund up to 46 days before departure.
50% refundable from 45 days to 12 days prior to departure.
No refund possible from 11 days before departure.

Important: when we talk about the day before departure, we mean 24 hours before the train's departure time.

Carte Avantage Youth/Senior

This benefit card is destined for travellers who regularly travel with TGV INOUI in their free time. The card will be on sale at SNCB International by early 2024. If you already hold a Carte Avantage Youths/Seniors, you can already enjoy the benefits now. Enter the details of your card when booking your journey and the discount will be automatically calculated.

Cost: € 49/year

Target group:
- Youth aged 12 to 27
- Senior citizens from 60 years and older

Benefits:
- As a cardholder, you enjoy a 30% discount on the Flex fare in 1st and 2nd class
- You may also bring 1 to 3 children who enjoy a 60% discount on the daily fare

This discount is valid for ...
- Single journeys during the week and on weekends
- Outward and return journeys during the week and at weekend

Carte Avantage Adults

This benefit card is destined for travellers who regularly travel with TGV INOUI in their free time. The card will be on sale at SNCB International by early 2024. If you already hold a Carte Avantage Adult, you can already enjoy the benefits now. Enter the details of your card when booking your journey and the discount will be automatically calculated.

Cost: € 49/year

Target group:
- Adults aged 27 to 59

Benefits:
- As a cardholder, you enjoy a 30% discount on the Flex fare in 1st and 2nd class
- You can bring 1 adult who enjoys a 30% discount on the daily fare
- You can also bring 1 to 3 children who enjoy a 60% discount on the daily fare

This discount is valid for ...
- 1 one-way trip on Saturday or Sunday.
- 1 one-way trip on weekdays with a child.
- return journeys including at least one weekend night on Friday, Saturday or Sunday¹ (for example: departure on Thursday and return on Monday - the return journey includes at least one weekend night).

¹This discount is currently not yet available in our booking system

Carte Liberté

This benefit card is intended for passengers who travel frequently with TGV INOUI (for work or leisure). The card will be on sale at SNCB International by early 2024. If you already have a Carte Liberté, you can now take advantage of the benefits. Simply enter your card details when booking your journey and the discount will be calculated automatically.

Cost: € 399/year

Target group:
- Youth aged 12 to 27
- Adults aged 27 to 59
- Seniors aged 60 and older

Benefits:
- As a cardholder, you receive a 45% discount on the Flex fare in 1st class and a 60% discount on the Flex fare in 2nd class.
- You can take 1 adult with you, who receives a 30% reduction on the daily fare.
- You can also take 1 to 3 children with you, who benefit from a 60% reduction on the daily fare.

- Single journeys during the week and on weekends
- Outward and return journeys during the week and at weekends

Need a train in Belgium before or after TGV INOUI? Use our 'Connection' ticket!

Do you travel to or from another Belgian location than Brussels? Our 'Connection' ticket allows you to take any domestic SNCB train between Brussels-Midi (your departure or arrival station for TGV INOUI) and the Belgian station of your choice. This 'Connection' ticket is available from €8.60 each way in 2nd class or €13.10 each way in 1st class, regardless of your Belgian departure or arrival station.
