With Train+ you enjoy discounts during off-peak times, weekends and public holidays and capped fares on the Belgian part of cross-border journeys with conventional trains (not on high speed trains).

Preferential Reimbursement (SNCB)

If you're a beneficiary of Preferential Reimbursement, you get 40% discount on the Belgian part of cross-border journeys with conventional trains.

100% discount Belgium (SNCB)

Holders of a valid travel pass, Unlimited Season Ticket or token for free transport on the Belgian rail network (visual impaired travellers, parliament members, police in uniform etc.) do not pay for the Belgian part of international journeys with conventional trains.

40% discount Netherlands (NS)

Depending on the conditions of their season ticket (route, time of travel etc.), holders of some types of NS season tickets 40% discount on the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains.

100% discount Netherlands (NS)

Depending on the conditions of their season ticket (route, time of travel etc.), some types of NS season tickets cover the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains. Holders of a pass valid on the Dutch network also travel for free in the Netherlands (except on Eurostar).

5 - 6 September: changed itinerary for the Eurocity Direct

Due to planned engineering works, the Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will exceptionally terminate at Amsterdam Central station instead of Amsterdam Zuid, and will therefore not continue to Almere and Lelystad on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026.

In the opposite direction, the Eurocity Direct to Brussels will depart from Amsterdam Central as well.

Moreover, it will be diverted from their usual itinerary between Rotterdam and Amsterdam and will therefore not serve Schiphol Airport. Between Rotterdam and Schiphol Airport, passengers can use domestic trains operated by NS.

Due to planned engineering works, the Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will exceptionally terminate at Amsterdam Central station instead of Amsterdam Zuid on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026. Only the latest 4 evening trains will arrive at Amsterdam Zuid.

In the opposite direction (to Brussels), the 4 earliest morning services of Eurocity Direct will depart from Amsterdam Zuid. The next trains will depart from Amsterdam Central.

3 - 4 October: itinerary restrictions for EuroCity and Eurocity Direct (diverted via Roosendaal)

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch rail network, the EuroCity and Eurocity Direct trains will be diverted via Roosendaal on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, resulting in the following itinerary restrictions:

EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam)

will operate between Brussels and Breda (instead of Rotterdam);
will be calling exceptionally at Roosendaal as well;
will not be calling at Brussels Airport-Zaventem.

Between Roosendaal / Breda and Rotterdam, EuroCity passengers can use domestic trains operated by NS.

Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam)

will be diverted via Roosendaal (but without stop at Roosendaal), which will result in longer journey times;
most Eurocity Direct trains will operate between Brussels and Rotterdam (instead of Amsterdam Zuid)
exceptions: 2 early trains (9516 and 9520) will depart from Amsterdam Zuid to Brussels and 2 evening trains (9575 en 9579) departing from Brussels will terminate in Amsterdam Zuid;

Between Rotterdam and Schiphol Airport / Amsterdam, Eurocity Direct passengers can use domestic trains operated by NS.
