With the high-speed Eurostar and ICE trains, getting from Brussels to Cologne by train is very easy. The journey to Germany’s “fun loving capital” takes less than 2 hours.

After a stop in Liège and in Aachen, you’ll arrive at Köln Hbf, Cologne’s main train station. Set right next to the celebrated cathedral on the left bank of the Rhine, the station is located within a few minutes walk from the shopping district, the main museums and many more attractions. The station’s also a major rail hub for journeys to other destinations in Germany, but also to Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe.

ICE trains for travel to/from Germany from 13 December will be bookable as of 14 October

Every year in mid-December, European rail companies simultaneously amend their train services, with adapted timetables taking effect more or less throughout Europe.

Reservations on Deutsche Bahn trains (including ICE services) for journeys to, from and within Germany from 13 December 2026 onwards will be possible from Wednesday 14 October.

Please note that Eurostar services connecting Paris, Brussels, Cologne and Dortmund after 13 December are already available for reservation.
